Sausage Spurge

The 'Sausage spurge', native to warm regions, is ideal for gardens in warmer climates. It's part of the Euphorbiaceae family, which includes poinsettias and crown of thorns.

One interesting feature of this plant is its milky latex sap produced when cut or broken. It thrives in well-drained soil and full sun, growing well with a base layer of brick and charcoal topped with sandy loam soil. The plant requires minimal maintenance and young plants can grow indoors.

Sunlight Requirements: enjoys tanning daily, and ok with a bit of bright direct light.

Watering frequency: Plant thrives in semi-dry soil. Water with about 1 cup of water every 12-14 days during warm weather.
